Inspired by her daughter's frustration with traditional Nutcracker performances, CEO, Kitty Griffin embarked on the journey of Joy-The Urban Nutcracker. Witnessing her daughters struggle to connect with others and face limited opportunities in a predominantly homogenous cast, she envisioned a more inclusive production, with an urban twist incorporating African dance, Salsa, Ribbon dancing, and diverse performances. Joy celebrates the richness of our community and each year, the Aspire team is amazed at the talent showcased and proud to foster a new holiday tradition that embraces diversity and creates a sense of joy in our community.
